Right. Spyware. What is it anyway? Answer: A kind of virus. Duh. What does it do? When you log onto the Internet or boot up your com, do you see unecessary windows popping out? That's spyware for you! My dad's com was infected once, and just by fooling around, I got rid of it.
Without him knowing it was there. So, how do you get rid of it? 2 methods. The first is easier but you might want to keep some of the files.
Note: My instructions are only for Windows computer. If you have a Mac, you may sorta have to "translate" it for your com.

1st method
1. Find the/all the "Temporary Internet Files" folders on your com.
2. Delete it/them from your com. And you're done! The spyware should be gone.

2nd method
1. When you boot up your com, click on the Start button.
2. Click on "Find", then "Files or Folders".
3. Type in the word "spy" on the top blank.
4. After your com has finished searching, delete all the files that come from the "Temporary Internet Files" folder.
5. Repeat but use the words "tag", "ware", "link", "agent", "spyware", "ad", "network", etc. Any word that has an influence on spyware. (Type the words in one at a time!)
6. You're done! Spyware is gone.
